Jacob Schaaf is a dedicated member of the PRC Board, driven by a passion for meaningful community impact and a commitment to vulnerable populations. Jacob was inspired to join the board by a strong belief in PRC’s mission and the organization’s innovative approach and its impressive fundraising efforts, which sustain its significant positive impact in San Francisco.
Jacob’s connection to PRC’s mission is further reinforced by his professional affiliation with insurance broker Marsh McLennan Agency, a long-standing supporter of Baker Places since the 1990s. This background has deepened his conviction in the importance of providing comprehensive support to those affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use, and mental health challenges. By contributing his skills and experience, Jacob is committed to guiding PRC toward its strategic goals and fostering meaningful change in the community.
Outside of his board responsibilities, Jacob is an avid road cyclist. He has participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle event from San Francisco to Los Angeles five times, combining his love of cycling with his dedication to supporting a cause close to his heart. His passion for travel has led him on memorable adventures—from taking a hot air balloon ride in Turkey and viewing cherry blossoms in Japan to hiking across the Dolomites in Italy. At home, he enjoys hosting small dinner gatherings where good food and great conversations bring friends together. A fun fact about Jacob is that during his college years, he went with a group of friends to The Price is Right where he won big, creating a unique and unforgettable experience.
Through his board participation, Jacob aims to shape PRC’s strategic direction by strengthening partnerships and forging new donor relationships. His ultimate goal is to ensure that PRC remains one of the leading programs offering integrated support to the San Francisco community, meeting client needs and driving lasting, positive change.
