PRC Opens Integrated Service Center to Reduce Homelessness
On May 15, PRC will be celebrating the official opening of their new, integrated service center and community hub where over 90 staff from around the city will now be collocated to provide services that range from mental health counseling, drug rehabilitation, housing support, and job reintegration for over 5,000 people in need every year.
Mayor London Breed will preside over the ribbon cutting ceremony and continue the work of the late Mayor Ed Lee who supported the merger of AIDS Emergency Fund, Positive Resource Center and Baker Places, Inc. into PRC. Creating a more focused and impactful organization where comprehensive services can cost-effectively and efficiently address the issues facing San Francisco’s most marginalized and vulnerable residents is vital to affecting change.
“Providing a continuum of care and resources in one location is an essential part of our efforts to help people exit homelessness and to care for the City’s most vulnerable populations,“ said Mayor London Breed. “We are proud to be partnering with PRC, a leader in the community whose effective, comprehensive wrap-around services continue to make lasting and positive impacts for those most in need.”
